2022 Annual Impact

The Finley Fort Foundation, LLC was founded in July 2021. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, the foundation is committed to its three (3) pillars: 1) providing emergency financial assistance for veterinary care, 2) awarding educational scholarship to veterinary medicine students and technicians, and 3) advocating for improved care and instrumentation in Hawai’i.

The COVID19 pandemic has impacted many aspects of our lives. Besides the physical health challenges, mental and emotional bouts due to isolation, lockdowns, and social distancing have triggered an increase in families and individuals seeking animal companionship.

This past year, we witnessed three (3) anecdotal facts: 1) Veterinary clinics were handling more cases than they used to, 2) Pet owners were not prepared for the high costs that come with owning a pet, and 3) Unexpected veterinary costs were huge financial burdens, with many pet owners having to run up their credit card debts or use their savings just to cover the cost of veterinary care.

Recognizing the stress caused by these unprecedented emergencies, the Foundation aims to help by relieving some of the financial burden. And with the generous support of the Finley Fort ohana, the Foundation was able to deliver on its mission of helping families, students, and pets in need.

The Finley Fort Foundation is committed to the continued advancement of the pet care community in Hawai’i. We are grateful to all the donors who offered donations that help support fund the causes. It is through their generosity that we are able to celebrate and share each and every story of our beneficiaries.

The foundation hopes that you will consider supporting the Finley Fort Foundation today and in the coming years.
