2023 FFF Ambassadors

Starting this year on a high note, the Finley Fort Foundation is proud to announce the two recipients of this year’s FFF Scholarship awards. We wish to welcome Ms. Samantha Masca and Ms. Vanessa Alarcon Salgado to the Finley Fort Foundation ‘ohana.

2023 Finley Fort Foundation Ambassadors

Ms. Masca and Ms. Salgado were chosen by the Officers and Board of Directors of the foundation to receive the scholarship not only because of scholastic merit but for the work that they have done to improve the lives of families and pets in Hawai’i, including their mission and purpose that goes beyond getting a professional degree in Veterinary Medicine.

Ms. Masca is a graduate of the ‘Iolani School and the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Science - Computing. Ms. Salgado is a graduate of the University of Hawai’i at Manoa with a degree in Animal Science. Both are pursuing a doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University and Ross University respectively.

FFF will be working with both ambassadors in promoting and advocating the causes of the organization.

“The officers and the board were impressed with both students that we decided to have two recipients instead of one. We are grateful to the donors for their contributions and allowing us to support students in their dreams and desire to contribute to the pet care community in Hawai’i.” - Brandon Kamigaki, Executive Director

The organization congratulates our ambassadors and are excited to work with them this year.
